Daniel Glover | La Love the Boss

Daniel Glover, aka Childish Gambino, has just released a new video counting over 44,000,000 in just two days. The video for the song “This is America” was created with Atlanta-based director Hiro Murai, who has painted a perfect picture in what goes on in the hoods across America.

Every day, people are often are victims even in their own communities, because life is a constant struggle. Although people know not to get involved with the violence that happens around them, they chose to look the other way because, it’s the safest way to stay alive in the hood.

In the video, Daniel Glover is dancing around all sorts of violence to portray the gun smoke to direct people to another direction by ignoring the true events and crimes that are happing around him. People would rather see something else that is more entertaining, because they have adapted to their environment.

Murai points the finger towards the white community, and its ignorance of the real facts: In reality, America isn’t the same as it was in the 20th century.

The country has moved beyond the racial and segregation, but of course, there’s still some serious issues within American communities.

People in general have to take social responsibilities, because each time someone goes to the movies and supports violence or is listening to songs with valance and rapping about crack and other crimes in their music areas by supporting this type of artists it’s being part of what happens in the hood.

Every hood has its own drug dealers, and its own kids selling drugs in the trap houses across America.

It’s easy to point the finger and say what Tony Montana said in the movie “Scarface”: “You need people like me, so you can point and say there’s the bad guy.”

Murai is pointing at the wrong direction because America isn’t the same. We are in the 21st century and the people who are paying for black entertainment, are white people.

The problem isn’t about race, it’s about morals and economics.

In some white communities in America, people are facing the same issues that blacks are facing due to drugs addiction and not taking social responsibility.
